By Blessing Simpson Madzima| Replying to the suggestion that our President Advocate Nelson Chamisa should replace General Chiwenga as Vice President.

The arrangement of ED offering Nelson Chamisa to the Vice President position will be a very high degree of corruption and I can assure you our President and our Party will not get into such corrupt arrangements. It will not work. For the experience you talk about, Nelson does not need to get experience in practicing corruption, he has already gained experience in good governance and making the right decisions of standing with the people in all most difficult times.

One doesn’t have to build alliances with corrupt groups to be president. What is vital to be a President is to remain principled and maintaining your values with integrity. Nelson has done that and that is the reason the people of Zimbabwe want him to be President.

Your suggestion is to condemn Zimbabweans to remain being held at ransom by the army and those connected to it, we can’t build a better Zimbabwe under that system. We need a completely different trajectory where a leader comes from the people not from corrupt arrangements.

The environment is doing fine and it’s giving citizens an experience that fraudulent processes to gain power will never resuscitate our economy or be able to give hope to our communities. We are where we are because of those corrupt arrangements. Real free Zimbabwe will come soon. God has a plan with us as a nation and it will not fail.

“45 Degree Soldier, Wife Slapped With Sanctions”

By A Correspondent- The United States of America has slapped the soldier who told the August 1 Commission of Inquiry led by former South African President Kgalema Motlanthe that soldiers who were captured live on video fired into the air at 45 degrees angle hence were not responsible for the 6 deaths of unarmed civilians which occurred on the day.

Former Commander of the Presidential Guard, Anselem Sanyatwe and his wife has been slapped with United States sanctions effectively barring the duo from entering the US.

Below is the full text from the US Secretary of State;

The Secretary of State is publicly designating Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe, former Commander of the Zimbabwe National Army’s Presidential Guard Brigade and current Ambassador Designate of Zimbabwe to Tanzania, under Section 7031(c) of the FY 2019 Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act (Div. F, P.L. 116-6), due to his involvement in gross violations of human rights.  Section 7031(c) provides that, in cases where the Secretary of State has credible information that foreign officials have been involved in significant corruption or a gross violation of human rights, those individuals and their immediate family members are ineligible for entry into the United States.  The Department has credible information that Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe was involved in the violent crackdown against unarmed Zimbabweans during post-election protests on August 1, 2018 that resulted in six civilian deaths.

The law also requires the Secretary of State to publicly or privately designate such officials and immediate family members.  In addition to the designation of Anselem Nhamo Sanyatwe, the Department is also publicly designating his spouse, Chido Machona.

To date, the Government of Zimbabwe has held no member of the security forces accountable for the acts of violence committed against Zimbabweans on August 1, 2018.  Furthermore, there has been no accountability for the excessive use of force by Zimbabwean security forces on civilians in January and February this year, which reportedly resulted in at least 13 deaths, 600 victims of violence, torture or rape, and more than 1,000 arrests.  We again call on Zimbabwean authorities to hold accountable those officials responsible for human rights violations and abuses in Zimbabwe.

Jane Mlambo| Former Commander of the Presidential Guard, Anselem Sanyatwe has been slapped with United States sanctions effectively barring him and his wife from entering the US.

Sanyatwe was banned over his role in the August 1 shootings and the failure by the President Emmerson Mnangagwa regime from punishing all those implicated in the open murder of civilians by the army.

Below is the full text from the US Secretary of State;

Mushekwi Donates 45-Seater Bus To Caps United

Warriors striker Nyasha Mushekwi recently bought Harare giants CAPS United a 45-seater bus, Soccer 24 understands.

The former Mamelodi  Sundowns man purchased the bus in July with the intention of donating it to Makepekepe and the club has even written to the Sports and Recreation Commission seeking exemption of duty.

Sports minister Kirsty Coventry is even aware of the development and even personally informed the Commision on Makepekepe’s plea.

Mushekwi played for CAPS United between 2007 and 2010 on 68 occasions and scored 22 goals before crossing the Limpompo to join Sundowns.

He is currently plying his trade in China for a team named Zhejiang Greentown after he left  Daliang Yifang just after AFCON 2019.Soccer24

Jonathan Moyo “Exposes” Mthuli Ncube USD 500 M Scam

Farai Dziva|Professor Jonathan Moyo has claimed that Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube illegally issued USD 500 million to buy shares from a local bank.

Moyo further claimed that Emmerson Mnangagwa, Kuda Tagwirei and SB Moyo were involved in the alleged scam.

The Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Resettlement, Retired Air Chief Marshal Perence Shiri has issued an apology to parliament for his unbecoming behaviour on Wednesday’s seating.

PShiri called opposition MDC supporters baboons and monkeys in Parliament on Wednesday.

Shiri’s outburst came after Harare West MP, Joanna Mamombe (MDC Alliance) had asked him why the country continues to have food shortages if the government spent so much money on acquiring grain.

Mamombe was referring to the US$3 billion which Shiri said was spent by the government on buying grain from farmers such as wheat, soya etc, and some of the money being used to pay for Presidential Input Scheme, utilities such as electricity.

“Mr. Speaker Sir, I would like to unreservedly apologies for the remarks I made yesterday. I realise they must have caused some injury to the dignity of the Hon. Members. To that extent Mr. Speaker Sir, I would like to withdraw my statement. Thank you Mr. Speaker Sir,” said Shiri in his apology on Thursday.

Mushekwi Gives Back To Makepekepe

Former Caps United trusted son and Warriors gunslinger Nyasha Mushekwi has shown his generous side by purchasing a 45 seater bus which his is set to donated to his former club Caps united.

This is not the first time that Mushekwi has shown his generous side, as he once volunteered to pay outstanding allowances for the entire Warriors team that was boycotting fulfilling an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) match in Egypt recently.

In a letter seen by this publication, Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation Dr Kirsty Coventry positively responded to a letter written by Chambati Mataka and Makonese, who on behalf of the player, had written to the Minister seeking an exemption of import duty for the said 45 seater  bus from the donor (Nyasha Liberty Mushekwi).

In her response, Dr Coventry made it clear that her ministry was going to write to to other offices for approval.

“Sports and Recreation Commission will then wrote a covering letter to the Secretary for Youth, Sport, Arts and Recreation who will also request for the same from the Treasury. If Treasury grants the exemption, then Zimra will proceed to process the same,” read the response.

However, the letter stressed that the receipt of purchase must clearly show the name of the donee and never to an individual.

Mushekwi who moved to China, left Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang as a free agent to Zhejiang Greentown which plays in the second division. His departure comes two weeks Yifang announced former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez as their new coach.

I went to Fletcher High School in Gweru, a Government school where we had pudding, fruits, tea at 10.

What we are seeing here is a direct result of corruption and theft of public funds by political elites to fund their lifestyles.”

Soccer Fans Call For Erection Of Nakamba Statue

SOME Hwange residents and villagers have called for the erection of a Marvelous Nakamba statue at his rural home Dinde in Hwange district along Victoria Falls road as an honor of becoming the first player from the district to play in the English Premier League.


Nakamba penned a five year old deal with EPL returnees Aston Villa this week, joining other iconic stars like Bruce Grobbelaar, Peter Ndlovu and Benjan Mwaruwari, ironically all with roots to Bulawayo giants Highlanders.


While Nakamba played organised junior football for Highlanders and later on Bantu Rovers, he was born in the coal mining town of Hwange 25 years ago when his father Anthony, was an assistant goalkeeper to Johannes Tshuma at Hwange FC.


His rural home is Dinde about 35km from Hwange town, under Chief Nekatambe.State media

Retail Giant Donates To Auxillia Mnangagwa

The Spar Group yesterday donated 50 scholarships to First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa’s charity, Angel of Hope Foundation, to benefit disadvantaged children of her choice.


The donation was made at Ashbrittle Shopping Centre in Mt Pleasant, Harare, by the company’s human resources director, Mr Moses Chihuri, after the clean-up exercise that was led by President Mnangagwa.


Mr Chihuri told the President that the donation was in recognition of the charity work the First Lady was doing.


“Your Excellency, the First Lady has done a lot of good work to assist vulnerable groups, especially children, and in recognition of that good work, we are donating 50 scholarships to the First Lady’s charity that will assist the children until they complete their education and she will choose the beneficiaries,” Mr Chihuri said.


He said the value of the scholarships was dependent on the education level attained by the beneficiaries.State media
